Just when you wrap your head around the situation, things seem to shift.
Like any business trying to maintain operations during these times, we’ve had to keep a careful watch on the changing conditions and requirements the pandemic has created. We have adapted to suit from the start, and in that sense nothing has changed with the recent developments in other parts of the country and in the emerging advice from experts around mitigation measures. While the growing number of cases in Victoria is some distance from us, touch wood, we are not taking anything for granted. As a small business with a full time staff of one – I’m a jack of all trades for the most part! – we have no choice not to be extremely careful about how Table operates. If I’m not safe and healthy, there is no Table. We have officially registered as a COVID Safe business through the NSW Government and have completed a COVID-19 Safety Plan. We are already implementing necessary sanitation measures, physical distancing and contact-free payments. We’re keeping the delivery records we need to and have shifted back to using telephone and online meeting tools as preference. Like everyone, we will continue to monitor official directives on other safety measures and adopt and adapt as we need to. Our intention is to keep healthy and keep Table operating so we can keep delivering fresh local produce to local residents and to those visitors allowing to be in the region.
