Blue Kitchen Gourmet Foods bring a little rock’n’roll to the world of sauces, pastes, condiments and preserves.
Blue Kitchen’s name comes from the colour of the original home kitchen in Coraki where the business had its start. Fast forward nearly 20 years, and Blue Kitchen is a not only a producer of spectacular sauces and condiments, but also a quirky café, tucked away in a nook of Lismore frequented by few tourists.
Under the helm of the delightful Frannie and her chef-partner Jamie, the pair have built the Blue Kitchen café into a genuine hidden-gem. Packed with collectables that shout out Jamie’s love of music, the café turns out some of the best sausage rolls and pies in the region (their ‘serious’ and ‘not-so-serious’ sausage rolls are something to behold), while their daily lunch specials happily traverse a great mix of flavours and cuisines. Probably no surprise given Jamie has been a chef for 40 years with stints at the famed Mietta’s in Melbourne and with the extraordinary Stephanie Alexander.
We love incorporating Blue Kitchen goods in our meal pods, knowing that the range of award winning products are handmade on the premises. The entire range is gluten-free and vegan using ingredients produced locally or sourced from genuine regional Australian growers. It is all organic where possible.
