Are you celebrating your birthday in March? I hope you are, that way we can share some cake at this month’s Bangalow Market.
I’ve done some quirky things on my birthday over the years (most strangely doing an Ironman triathlon on a milestone birthday), but doing a pop-up foodie stall at a market will be a first!
This month’s Bangalow Market falls on Sunday, 22 March. An auspicious date to be sure! The Markets are a lovely day out, bringing together artists, artisans, bakers, therapists, farmers and more, with so many stalls to explore. It’s family friendly, with easy parking onsite.
We run our pop-up deli/emporium/grocer/supply stall there each month. We make it easy to stock up on everything local and delicious you can think of. We always have cheeses, charcuterie, olives, crackers, macadamias, pecans, coffee, hummus, jams, pickles, chutneys and loads more. Our grazing platters – small and large – make for a perfect relaxed lunch or match perfectly with a drink for sundowners.
And because this month coincides with my birthday, I’m planning to make the most of it and I figure that means cake. Cake for me and cake for you too. Everyone’s a winner!
So, if your birthday falls in March, or if you’re a fellow Aries, come say hi and enjoy a slice of cake with our compliments. We can trade stories about unusual birthday celebrations…
What flavour is going to make your day?
PS. Truth be told, I’ll probably go easy on the cake – I’ve got another Ironman coming up soon and I’m not sure it is ideal fuel for my training, but that just means more to share around!
